iQOO is preparing to make its mark in the compact gaming tablet market with the new iQOO Pad Pro. The company has confirmed several important features, including a high-refresh-rate OLED display, a large battery, and a powerful Snapdragon processor.
The tablet is designed for users who want strong gaming performance without carrying a large and heavy device. Its 8.8-inch screen could make it a useful option for mobile gamers who prefer a bigger display than a smartphone offers.
8.8-Inch OLED Display With a 165Hz Refresh Rate
One of the biggest highlights of the iQOO Pad Pro is its 8.8-inch OLED display. The screen supports a 165Hz refresh rate, which can deliver smoother motion in supported games and make scrolling feel more responsive.
OLED technology can also provide rich colors, deep blacks, and strong contrast. These features could improve the experience of playing action games, watching videos, and enjoying other entertainment content.
The compact screen size may also make the tablet easier to hold during long gaming sessions. However, the actual experience will depend on the games and applications that support its high refresh rate.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Powers the Tablet
The iQOO Pad Pro uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This flagship-class chipset is designed to handle demanding applications, advanced graphics, and intensive multitasking.
For gamers, the processor could help deliver smooth performance in graphically demanding Android games. Combined with the 165Hz display, it gives the tablet a strong foundation for a premium mobile gaming experience.
iQOO has also confirmed a built-in cooling fan. Active cooling can help manage heat when the processor works hard for extended periods. This is particularly important for users who play demanding games for long sessions.
Still, real-world gaming performance will depend on software optimization, temperatures, and how individual games use the available hardware.
Large 9,020mAh Battery for Longer Gaming Sessions
Battery life is another major feature of the iQOO Pad Pro. The tablet includes a 9,020mAh battery, providing substantial capacity for a compact gaming device.
A large battery can help users spend more time playing games, streaming videos, and browsing the web without frequently searching for a charger. However, demanding games and the 165Hz display can consume more power, so actual battery life will vary.
The combination of a compact body and a large battery could make this tablet attractive to gamers who want a portable device for everyday entertainment.
Ice Blade Blue Design and October Launch
iQOO has also shown the tablet in an Ice Blade Blue finish. The color gives the device a distinctive appearance while maintaining its gaming-focused identity.
The company has emphasized the tablet’s slim and lightweight design. Its 8.8-inch form factor could offer a useful balance between portability and screen space.
According to the announced launch information, the iQOO Pad Pro is scheduled to go on sale in China on October 28, 2026. However, the company has not confirmed its retail price or international availability.
Potential buyers outside China will need to wait for more information about a possible global release.
Conclusion
The iQOO Pad Pro looks like a promising option for people seeking a compact Android gaming tablet. Its 165Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, active cooling fan, and 9,020mAh battery give it several appealing features.
The biggest questions are its final price, long-term gaming performance, and availability outside China. If iQOO can deliver reliable performance at a competitive price, the Pad Pro could become an interesting choice for mobile gamers who want flagship hardware in a smaller package.
